...And Arriving In Greece!

Once again, our Thessaloniki Correspondent, Katerina N., has offered to host Zombie Kitty Kawaii!2 and show her the wonders of Greece. But, she is not alone. ZKK2 also gets to share her adventures with our former Australian Correspondent and Host, Vizma Bruns:

Thank you, Mail Art Martha! Zombie Kitty 2 AND Vizma Bruns arrived in Greece...we went to the seaside and Vizma for a swim in the Aegean Sea!

Vizma, ZKK2 and Katerina

Vizma and ZKK2

Louise is away on a trip, but Zombie Kitty Kawaii 2 arrived today in Greece, and we had great adventures and good gyros and watermelon...

...and a nice cool orangie:
  and just fun with Vizma!
Posted some mail art we ALL made:
and Zombie Kitty had to take a Greek siesta zzzzzz.

But, then the unthinkable happened...

Zombie Kitty can be a naughty kitty!
On our way to the beach, she was suppose to hold Vizma's hand and not run off on her own! Well, she slipped away and for about ten minutes we were frantic as to were we lost her! We looked around the umbrellas, and back to the car, in the "boot" and under the seats...no Kitty!
We were so worried, and we hadn't taken any photos with the new arrival from London! Katerina caught the beach gal, serving the juices and coffees, and asked in Greek if anyone saw a Zombie Kitty...made of cardboard!
And just as we were crying during our second search around the car...her come the beach gal and says:
"Is this what you are looking for?" It was ZKK2! YAY!
Well, we were sooooo happy to see her and hug her, we could not punish her for wondering off and getting lost. Whew!
Safe and sound.

Zombie Kitty Kawaii 2 with Vizma Bruns' Greek Island Rhodos bag!
She wanted to head off with Vizma to the island, but will stay for a few more days with Katerina in Thessaloniki :-)

Well, Katerina, I'm glad that beach adventure you had turned out for the better. I guess all that fine Greek sunshine must have really went to her  squishy little brain. I hope she learned her lesson. Anyway, thanks again for hosting her and we all look forward to her next adventures with you...

Zombie Kitty Kawaii! Mail Art Roundup

Zombie Kitty Kawaii! loves to receive your cards and letters. Here are a few of the latest that we would like to share with you, our loyal readers:

From Svenja Wahl of Heidelberg, Germany:

I have to say, Svenja, those two look like they've seen a Zombie... or possible a Zombie Kitty! Thanks for the mail art. I know Zombie Kitty Kawaii! will enjoy it very much.

From Amy Irwen

Well, Amy, participation has been fantastic and it's all because of you who read this blog, send ZKK mail, comment on the blog and offer to host her (and ZMK) into your homes and show off your cities, towns and villages. For that, I am forever grateful.

Now the big surprise! The "Secret File" as sent to me from our very own Waitpinga, SA correspondent, Vizma Bruns, who is currently on her very own world tour. I admit, this was sent to me waaaaaaay back in April, so I apologize for the delay in posting it:

The "Secret" Files

Zombie Mini Kawaii! Says Farewell to Waitpinga, Australia!

"Mini Kawaii!", as we know, certainly loves a party, especially when that party involves burning stuff! Photos and commentary by our Waitpinga Correspondent, Vizma Bruns:

"The t-shirt I wore for Mini's last day....which started like this."

"An innocent farewell BBQ at a friend's house and somehow Mini ZKK got involved, playing with matches again.
She disappeared for some time and only showed herself when the flames were under control and the burnt meat had cooled down."
(That is quite the flame there! Ummmm... I never realized that she was such a pyromaniac. Maybe she's the former pet of Guy Fawkes...I'll have to ask her about it next time. -Louise)

"Quite a relief that the onus is on Lilian Mariutti to take care of MZKK now!! My work is done!!! Good luck Lilian!! ;-)"

That must have been some send off for  "Mini Kawaii!" I have to admit, her fur (or what's left of it) is looking a bit singed. Hopefully, she will stay away from the matches while she visits Lilian in Brazil! Get ready, Lilian! Hide your matches, lighters and good bottles of wine. Zombie Mini Kawaii! is on her way to you!

Thank you, once again, Vizma, for being such a great host to Zombie Mini Kawaii! and for all the great photos and antics you provided for this blog.

Zombie Mini Kawaii! Another Day At The Sheep Station...

It looks as if Zombie Mini Kawaii! has mostly recovered from her misadventures yesterday. She looks to be in fine form once again, for a zombie kitty that is. These photos arrived this morning from our Waitpinga, SA correspondent, Vizma:
"Here's Mini with the rainwater overflow gargoyle. A functional Georgia O'Keefe!"

PPPHHTT!*
*"Pinka help!" Mini having some trouble with an electric fence!
(Good thing Pinka is there to keep Mini Kawaii! out of too much trouble.-Louise)

With Tess, the farm worker!

"Sitting pretty..."

But, just when it looked as though Mini Kawaii! was going to have a perfectly normal day in Waitpinga:

"...And not so pretty. I thought this was the Aurora Australis, but it turned out to be MZKK playing with matches!!! So naughty!!"

Oooo! That does look a bit painful. Poor Mini! I guess she'll be spending a few days in your freezer again, Vizma, before she even has another adventure...

Zombie Mini Kawaii! And The Big Bad Hole...

Zombie Mini Kawaii!, it has been reported, had a run in with a coffee pot, a few days ago. Vizma, our Correspondent from Down Under reports:
" As instructed, Louise, I dropped everything to read the blog and now Mini ZKK has been badly scalded with boiling coffee burns. I explained that it was sort of your fault, to comfort her a bit, but she's just writhing away murmuring "Louitttttthhpt, I'm meltinnngthhhhhh!"

Oops. Never thought it would come to that. Mini Kawaii! is a bit of a drama queen sometimes...but, there's more:
"Mini ZKK went missing for a few days after the coffee incident, most probably to cool down. I found her lodged in a crack in the ground, poor thing. To make her feel better we walked around the farm taking some final snapshots of her visit."
Lodged in a hole. Poor Mini!
But in the end, it looks as if all went well as Zombie Mini Kawaii! makes a new friend with a former Georgia O'Keefe still life! Pretty cool, ZMK!

Making friends.

Zombie Mini Kawaii! At Maslin Beach...

...and gets "cooked"...read on...commentary and photos from Down Under by Vizma;

"Mini Kawaii! decided to go to the beach on her own yesterday, even after my stern warning about the dangerous Aussie sun. She thought it'd be fun to try to get an all-over tan in one day down at Maslin's, the nudist beach. I hope these photos aren't too explicit..."
(I guess I forgot to pack the SPF 150 sunscreen for her. Mind you, you know what they say, "you can take a kitty to the litter box, but you can't make them use it or something like that...-Louise)

" She shed her last bits of fur, popped on the sunnies and spent the entire day in the sun."
(Gosh "Mini". You've really turned into quite the sunny bunny. I love your shades and flipflops. What a beach fashionista you are!-Louise)

" Now she's home, leaning against a cool wall in the shade. I might put her in the fridge overnight...I did warn her!!"

Indeed, you did, Vizma. Mini Kawaii! You look like a well cooked East Coast lobster! Better not go to close to any seafood restaurants or you might end up as someone's main course.

Zombie Mini Kawaii! Wreaks Havoc In Adelaide...

... and has the luck to meet some of it's finest firefighters! Commentary and photos from our Waitpinga, SA corespondent, vizma:

"Today, I took Mini ZKK to Adelaide, because it was such a lovely day. 31 degrees, just right for a spin to the beach at Largs Bay."

"Little did I know that Kitty was feeling very playful and frisky, and just as a fire truck was driving past she she scooted up the nearest pine tree."
( Car rides to lovely beaches always seem to make "Mini Kawaii!" kind of frisky, but I guess you discovered that. -Louise)

"As you would expect, the lovely Largs lads jumped out of their fire truck and sprang to the rescue! Isn't this what a fireman is trained for on his first day of training? I was most impressed at their agility, strength and dedication to saving our Kitty from the incredibly high branches!"
(What an incredibly smart and sly Kitty she is! Indeed! -Louise)

"The fire engine driver was so honoured to save a Zombie Kitty from Toronto that he took down her details, and I wouldn't be surprised if he comes to visit Zombie back in TO. I had a chat with this heroic man and he informed me that he had once lived in Toronto. Then we had a laugh abooot the way Canadians say about!! Ha! I also wouldn't be surprised if these blog photos are copied and pinned up at the fire station!!!"
(I'm surprised that he didn't mention how we Canadians are always saying "eh" at the end of our sentences, eh? -Louise)

"Anyway, here's a pic of me and Zombie, back on safe ground, posing on the front of the truck! Thank you so much to the Largs boys for being such great sports!!!!"

Wow! What an awesome Adelaide adventure you two had! "Mini Kawaii!" is certainly getting herself some kind of reputation as well...especially among the Largs Fire Services ! Ha! They were certainly great sports about it and on behalf of The Zombie Mini and Kitty Kawaii! blogging team, I thank them all as well. And, as always, I'm sure we all look forward to the next "Mini Kawaii!" Adventure...

Zombie Mini Kawaii!, Helps Out On The Sheep Station

Zombie Mini Kawaii! is certainly having an incredible experience visiting Waitpinga, South Australia. I received some more photos and commentary from vizma (our official Waitpinga correspondent) of Zombie Mini Kawaii! helping out on the sheep station:

"Rounding up sheep on her first day at work. Mini ZKK slipped! Don't get trampled Mini!"

" Zombie in a bit of danger, she could get stomped any minute!"

"Pinka to the rescue to get these 3 rogue rams into the next paddock."
(Who says sheep ranching is not a dangerous occupation? Obviously, Pinka knows better. -Louise)

"Next time you're driving the tractor, Mini!!"

"Now to teach her to spin some of that wool...
now, where did I put that wool?"

Glad to see Zombie Mini Kawaii! being so useful around the sheep station, vizma.
If she learns how to spin that wool, I could loan her out to the local alpaca farms when
she gets back (I'll bet that wool made some lovely yarn once it was spun
Did ZMK! happnen to mention that I like to knit? No? Oh well...).
