Another Update From Retailia...

While I have taken a much needed break, it seems that there has been a lot of goings on at the Zombie Kitty Kawaii! IUOMA group page. What a bunch of busy Zom-bees this group has been...

A newspaper clipping from Retailia.

I love the Retailia Times. You want truth? Read the Retailia Times.

And, speaking of truth, there is now an actual video made by the Marquis de Bananas (Dean Marks) about what really happened to Retailia's Shopping Trolley Gallery. You can watch it at this link:

You can read his blog about it at this link:

Postcard From The "London Mail Art Meetup."

There are times where I do envy Zombie Kitty Kawaii! and this is certainly one of those times. How lucky she is to be part of the "London Mail Art Meetup" which included her Retailian Hostess, Mail Art Martha (Martha I), AndyTgeezer, ElenaTgeezer, stripygoose, and former Parisian host, Dean Marks (and his bicycle). Here is the wonderful mail art I received on Friday:

Yes. Those are real salt and pepper packets.

Thanks to all of you for sending this wonderful card from your meetup. It was really thoughtful. Safe to say that ZKK and I are big fans of all of you as well.
(Now, if I keep this up, I will be weeping tears of joy again into my computer keyboard and it might explode...so, I better end this post right here.).

Retailia! Retailia! How Do I Love Thee...

...in which Zombie Kitty Kawaii! (Mark2) gets a visit from some dear old friends and becomes part of an art installation...photos and ZKK's interpreter by HRH* Martha I:
(*Her Retalian Highness)

"Dean came to Retailia on Thursday to visit and we ate out in a typical Retailian restaurant. I got worried when Dean put pepper and salt on my head."

"I was right to be worried, he tried to eat me!"

"The next day, I helped with Mail Art making. Licking stamps and sticking them in envelopes."

"Meanwhile, to keep him out of trouble, we gave Dean a pair of scissors, a glue stick and the rubbish bin full of discarded bits and pieces. He was happy for hours…and I was safe!"

"On Saturday, we went to a big art gallery. It was odd; it didn’t have wheels. It was a cold day, so I traveled in the Shopping Bag Gallery. This is me by the river."

"There was a statue of a zombie human. They like us zombies here."

" In the gallery, I became part of an installation. My five minutes of fame!"

"Then I met Andy Geezer, a very nice chap; he laughed at all my jokes."

"It was all great fun but very tiring, I shall take it easier now and enjoy the holiday."

-Big thppts from ZKK

Ye gawds Kitty Kawaii! I certainly am envious of such a great adventure! It's not every day that one gets to hang out with both the Marquis de Bananas and the King of the "Real Wall"!  You certainly are lucky to have HRH Martha I as your guide in Retailia. In fact, I think I may book my next holiday there, when I can escape this cell, I mean, get away from Etobicoke.
Until then, Happy Trails to all of you!

Zombie Kitty Kawaii!: "My Adventures with Queen Martha and Prince John of Retailia"

Zombie Kitty Kawaii! goes on an outing with Queen Martha I and Prince John, who show her the wonders of some of Retailia's finest gardens. Photos and commentary by Queen Martha I and ZKK (Mark 2):

"Well, I missed the Italian meal as I could not wake up when I finally got to sleep. To make up for it , the Queen and prince John took me to visit Wakehurst, a manor house with huge gardens in the Retailian countryside."

"At certain point, I realized that to stay undead I needed to keep an  eye, easy for me, on John's driving."

"I enjoyed the gardens
I was getting peckish, so when a duck crossed our path, I had to be restrained."

"We did have a good meal though.
After lunch, I did a spot of tree climbing."

"I also found a tiny garden just my size, how thoughtful. And the plant in front of me was called bloody crane's bill. Which opened my appetite again. "

Tea Time in Retailia.
"On the way back, we stopped so I could have a snap taken with the image of the Queen, the other one, who celebrated her diamond Jubilee last weekend. I missed it by a whisker, unfortunately. Apparently, Dean, Le Marquis De Banana, attended the ceremonies. He is a friend of mine too, as I met him in Paris, France."
What a fantastic first royal adventure in Retailia, Kitty Kawaii! I love your matching hat and scarf, it is, how they say, "très chic"! I'm sorry to hear that you missed your dear friend, Dean, Le Marquis De Banana, but there were a lot of fireworks, I believe, so maybe in hindsight...well...

She's Alive! Alive, I Say...

...after working feverishly in my blab-ratory, night after night, I have finally managed to re-create Zombie Kitty Kawaii! (Mark 2), with the help of our former Parisian Correspondent, Dean Marks. Dean, had the foresight to scan and clone the dear KAT and was kind enough to send the files along.

So, without further ado, I give the World Zombie Kitty Kawaii! Mark 2:

And, in case you were wondering, she speaks French and, yes, that is a tattoo of Phat Kat. I guess some of her DNA got trapped in the file somehow.

Some travel training first and then on to Retailia!

Clues To The Missing KATS?!!!

Yesterday, I received in the mail 2 postcards which possibly are clues to our missing travelers. Here is the first one for your perusal:

http://myrealwall.blogspot.ca/
Wanted: For Kidnapping Zombie KATS
This leads me to believe that the KATS, in their travels to the mysterious "E  Ambassadeur D'Utopia", were intercepted and are in the clutches of this man, who has up until to now, been believed to be dead.

Now for the second clue, a postcard from our WI, Port Washington correspondent, Angie, who in despair, had posted the following:

Are the two clues possibly connected? Probably not. But, if Zombie Kitty Kawaii! only had 8 lives left when she left Angie's, then she most certainly had many less when she left Dean's in Paris. And, what of the Mysterious "E"? Will the KATS arrive safely? Will we ever hear from them again? Will my coffee still be at least warm by the end of this blog post? Well, ZKK fans, we will just have to wait and see...until then...THHPPT!

P.s.- If anyone has their own ideas regarding this matter, please, please, please, don't hesitate to make contact. I do have one last card with Phat Kat's cat-sick that I am willing to part with for any information. Thank you.

Piñatas And The Paris Marathon (Again)...

...and now for all of you who have been patient enough to wait for Zombie Kitty Kawaii, Zombie Mini Kawaii and Phat Kat to show themselves...well...they are still MIA. But, fear not because there is another treat for you today!

First off, on the "group" page of this project, ( For those of you who would like to peek at some of the discussions that goes on.) there was some concern that Zombie Mini Kawaii! could be mistaken for a pinata, which conjured up in my mind all sorts of images, such as this one:

Dean's warning: "Do try to keep Mini Kitty away from those Pinata games."
As you can see here, I had to cleanse my soul and put this image to paper. Dean, our Paris and sometimes Canary Islands Correspondent added;
"What's that I hear?  You want a new Zombie Kitty Kawaii & Phat Kat video?"
Of course we do!
So, this blog is proud to present the latest Dean Marks Show video:

Watch and see! You will be amazed! You may be inspired!

Au revoir, Paris!

Farewell, Paree! I think our Parisian Correspondent, Dean Marks, says it best with his latest words and video!

" Well, the time has come for Zombie Kitty Kawaii! & Maggie's Phat Kat to leave Paris. But a wave good bye at the post office would not be good enough for these two Kats. They leave Paris in style and with a bang!
Inspired by "Pete", who drives Louise around, while she checks and replies to e-mails on her phone. So what's in it for him?
AH ha, you shall see!  OH La La chaud devant..."

"Paris shall miss them!"

And, we shall miss you and your bonne vivante correspondent style too, Dean! Thank you for taking part in this project and keeping us all on the edge of our seats with peels of laughter and with the wonder of what would happen next to our two feline travelers. And, folks, to that we say "adieu, Paris."

Another Day...Another Eye Popping Paris Adventure...

...and there is nothing like a bit of last day sightseeing! It looks as if Dean has taken both "Kats" along with him. Brave man. I hope they were well behaved...

"This is the Notre Dame de Paris and a nice day to go out for a walk before leaving to "E"'s house. The famous Point Zero is where all the roads in France were measured from. It is located right in front of the Notre Dame and is Famous because this is where Katerina and I met."
("Katerina", our Thessaloniki  Correspondent-Louise)

"Yes, what an eye popping sight!"

"Sunny day and Phat Kat is happy  hungry."

But, it's not over yet! Dean has included another one of his videos for today's post. And, as always, it has the best soundtrack yet!:

"Zombie Kitty Kawaii! & Phat Kat visit Paris and all it's wonders ... well, not all of them!  After all, this is a children's program ..."

"The time in Paris for these two Kats is coming to an end.  But, it was good while it lasted.  And soon to be off to visit "E", so get ready Mr. E.  How are you gonna keep them down on the farm after they've seen Paris?!"

That is the question all of us are probably wondering...but I don't think this will be the last we hear from our Paris correspondent, Dean...just a feeling I have...

Meanwhile...Back In Paris...

...another video from our now once again Paris Correspondent, Dean! Featuring Zombie Kitty Kawaii! and her traveling companion,  Maggie's PhatKat;

"The Avenue des Champs-Elysees  is one of the most famous streets and one of the most expensive strips of real estate in the world.   Several French monuments are also on the street, including the Arc de Triomphe.  The name is French for Elysian Fields, the place of the blessed dead in Greek mythology. So these Kats fit right in with the rest of the dead beats.   The Avenue des Champs-Elysees is known as "The most beautiful avenue in the world", La plus belle avenue du monde in French.  Enjoy the video!"

(Excellent! I've finally figured out how to embed videos in this blog. Sorry, just blogging out loud again...-Louise)

Of Canaries, Idols and Carpets Made Of Sand...

...not exactly a place I would risk taking Zombie Kitty Kawaii!, because if my memory serves me well from being a cat owner for many years, most litter boxes were very sand-like and therefore...umm...well..you get the idea. Dean, our Canary Islands Correspondent, bravely visited this site:

"In the Spanish town of La Otorava, Tenerife, the festival of Corpus Christi Festival with beautiful themed carpets made from flower petals and colored volcanic sand."
"Do Zombie Kats and birds mix?"
"Several days before the celebration, local families and even design companies draw the carpets on paper, and on the big day, men and children draw the outline on the streets, while women fill the designs with various flower petals. All the locals get involved in this beautiful celebration and create a truly pleasant atmosphere. "

"However, it does leaves some of the locals a bit stiff in the morning, and I think that bird better watch out!"

" Zombie Kat with all the boxes of the different colors of sand ... at least paint brushes are not required!"

" This is what the whole thing looked like last year."

And, if that wasn't enough for you, we present:

The King Kat of Korpus Khristi
"As Corpus Christi this year is not until the 7th of June, the place where they normally have the sand carpet was empty ...

... except for a dead palm branch, so Zombie Kat jumped on it and we had our own parade":

" Let the Zombie Kat parade begin!"

"Those paparazzi are everywhere!"

Well, I was always under the impression that everyone loves a parade. Even if it is a parade of two; Dean and Zombie Kitty Kawaii! But, there don't seem to be many locals about which leads me to believe that maybe they were just not sure what to make of Dean waving a dead palm with a Zombie Kat in it. But, I digress...

...for it's time now for a great new show "Canary Island Idol" featuring Zombie Kitty Kawaii! and our Canary Island Correspondent, Dean:

"Last day on the Canary Islands, and the trip would not be complete unless we visited the World Famous 'Idol of Tara'."
"Don't worry, I had never heard of them either, and I think World Famous means this island only. It's a bit like the World Series of American baseball where they never invite any other country to play."
(Yes, I've always kind of wondered about that myself. Maybe they feel because there is one Canadian baseball team in the American league (The "Toronto Bluejays"), that could constitute it being a World Series. Just a thought. -Louise)

"So, I guess a visit to the Canary Islands would not be complete without seeing a canary, and Zombie Kat has his eye on this one!  But actually, the name Islas Canarias is likely derived from the Latin name Insula Canaria, meaning "Island of the Dogs".  (Sounds less romantic than a bird.)
WOW, maybe an Island of Dogs is not the place for a Kat to be?!! "
"But don't worry, one speculation is that the so-called dogs were actually a species of Monk Seals  (canis marinus or "sea dog" was a Latin term for 'seal'), now critically endangered and no longer present in the Canary Islands."

" So, after one full week, Zombie Kat  got dressed up to have a new passport photo taken, and applied to be a citizen of the Canary Islands... but the application was refused; they found out that the Kat was made of paper, and there would be just too much paper work!  So back to France we go."

A great ending to a great adventure, Dean, even if Zombie Kitty Kawaii! got her citizen application refused. She does look rather spiffy in the local wear, if I do say so myself. It definitely brings out the colour in her eye.

Meanwhile...In The Canary Islands...

So, we're back to the Canary Island adventures with Dean and Zombie Kitty Kawaii! Yes. I know this is running a bit out of order, but how else would we keep you interested, right? Photos and commentary by our Canary Island correspondent (formally, our Paris correspondent), Dean M.:

"Well, as you will remember, we are still in the Canary Islands and today we had some serious tourist work to be done."
" So we headed to a major site called the House of Balconies in the hilly town of La Orotava, on the island of Tenerife (One of the Canary islands)."
" Water stop in the heat of the afternoon, and the ladies have finished repairing Zombie Kat and are now back to making Spanish lace."
(Very kind of them to take the time out to repair Kitty Kawaii! She is certainly looking much more chipper-Louise)

"Zombie Kat making friends with some of the locals."

"Balconies everywhere, on the outside, on the inside, and on some of the shop keepers... "

"...and, as they say in the Canary Islands, where there are grapes ..."

"...there is wine.  But I think they say that everywhere. "

"But they also say, where there is smokes ..."

...there must be hot stuff !  But the fire exhauster is ready this time.
Also, I guess they don't call this place the house of balconies for nothing! "

"I'm not sure where his paw is resting, but the doll on the left has a worried look on her face.  Well, that concludes today's visit, and the shop keepers can now relax as I have left the store!"

What another thoroughly exciting adventure. I guess the shop keepers were just glad that Zombie Kitty Kawaii! didn't spontaneously combust in their store. The "black rocks" story and video must have made the rounds pretty quickly for them to have been so prepared for her visit.
