Zombie Mini Kawaii! Mail Art...

...this time from our former  Campinas - SP - Brazilian correspondent, Lilian Mariutti:

Don't you just love the Zombie Mini Kawaii! stamps?! I certainly do! I think that ZMK should have her own postal stamp. Maybe I should get the Republic of Togo to issue them...hmmmm....

Even Lilian's dog has her own stamp. How very cool.
Zombie Mini Kawaii! memories of her adventures in Brazil. How truly fantastic! Thank you Lilian for such an awesome and fun piece of mail art.

Life's A Beach With Zombie Mini Kawaii!

As we know, Zombie Mini Kawaii! is no stranger to beach life. Just check out her previous adventures in Brazil and Australia and you will see what I mean. This time, she has the opportunity to take a road trip through the southern U.S. to visit Florida. Photos and commentary by our Alabamian correspondent, Stephanie!

So here we are on the interstate leaving Huntsville, Alabama
on our way to St. Augustine, Florida...

And here we are visiting Ana from IUOMA as we vacation in St. Augustine.
It was great to meet up Ana!!
( I have to say, those "KATS" are so incredibly lucky to be able to meet up with so many cool mail artists. I think, as my next project, I may try an mail myself around the world. It could work. It could.
-Louise)

And here we are on the Beach.

And here ZMK went splat on the surfboard.
I guess surfing isn't her thing.

The other issue with Mini Kawaii! surfing, I guess, would be that her "tummy worms" might attract sharks or some other  really nasty fish. Not a good thing for her or everyone else on the beach. I see that she has wised up and has worn her sunscreen though.

As always, we look forward to more of Zombie Mini Kawaii!'s adventures with you, Stephanie! We know they will be the stuff of legends!

Zombie Mini Kawaii! in The IronMan Competition!

Yes, you read it correctly! Our wee Zombie Kat decided to attempt the IronMan Competition in Florianópoli, Brazil last week. She did rather well, apparently. Photos, video (Yes! Video!) and commentary by Lilian Mariutti:

Everything read! ZMK and the Capibara are going to Florianópolis together!

She behaved very well during the flight, despite the delay of almost 2 hours....

Recognizing the area....
...the view from the apartment...

...interesting mail boxes...

...a garden decoration...

Next day (Thursday):
Swim training...the worst part for Zombie Mini Kawaii!

Going to the beach!
Posing in front of the "restinga"

The Athletes area.
 Ready to swim!!!!! Well....

...it was a little bit cold...so, she decided just to observe.....

...the nice beach....full of tasty brains....

 PPTTHH!*
*OH!!!! Sand!!!! Help!!!!!!!

...then....a little jogging with her new BFF: the Capibara!

And both wanted to catch the black bird!

Friday....
24 hours of boring rain...

...so, we just went to get the athletes kit...

 Saturday:
Preparing the bike!

Bike check in.

The Transition area.

As always....I am never able to take pictures in the great day :)
But....
After long 12:32h....
Zombie Mini Kawaii! was declared:
 an IRONZOMBIE!!!!!

Crossing the finish line:
We are the ones after the big family in orange t-shirts. My husband is with a blue triathlon uniform, and I am the one in a white t-shirt!
Here is the link to the video:

But, where was Zombie Mini Kawaii!? She was celebrating her victory of course!!
So, there you have it Zombie Kat fans! Who would have ever thought that a cardboard Kat could ever become an IronMan (or Ironzombie) contender? And with this, we thank our beloved host, Lilian, for such great adventures in Brazil and ending with such a great big finish worthy of any IronMan (or IronZombie, for that matter.)!

Zombie Mini Kawaii! The Mother's Day Adventure!

Yes, I'm missing Zombie Kitty Kawaii! and her traveling companion, Phat Kat, too! But, I guess that's the misadventure with traveling by the World's Postal System. You never know whether or not someone is going to rip open the package as they deem it suspect...however, we do have an new "Mini Kawaii!" adventure for you from our lovely Brazilian correspondent, Lilian:

"Here are ZMK adventures last Sunday!"
" We went to Piracicaba for Mother's Day and we had lunch at Rua do Porto (Harbour Street) by the river."

 "Looking at the restaurant menu....."

 "Choosing her own fish...."

" She also ordered a "cuzcuz" ( a typical Brazilian food made with corn flour, tomato sauce, fish, shirimp, eggs, etc)."

" She ate quite fast!"
(And, who can blame her? It sounds delicious!-Louise)

"After lunch, she walked by the street to look at the neighborhood..."

 "Peppers in the window."

"Fake "mulata."
(She is rather lovely and I'll bet she's a great listener.-Louise)

"Posing in front a Brazilian handmade flag (courtesy of the artist Marcelo Chiaranda maechiara@yahoo.com.br)"

"But what she really liked: MOSAICS!!!! "

"Vintage stairs in my grandma's in-law building."

"Sunbath looking at the River."
(I know that our WI correspondent, Angie, will be grateful that someone is holding "Mini's" paw, lest she falls off the bridge and into the river. -Louise)

"And finally, a panoramic view of the city."

What a nice Mother's Day Zombie Mini Kawaii! had with you. I do hope she was on her best behavior, especially with all the Moms and Grand-Moms around.  It was their day, after all, and she was their guest. Thank you again, Lilian, for sharing the photos. I love that Mini Kawaii! is getting a real taste for Brazil!
We look forward to your next adventures...until then...PPHHT!

Zombie Mini Kawaii! Visits The Mall!

There is nothing in the world I like better then a bit of "retail" therapy. And, so does Zombie Mini Kawaii! apparently. Who knew? A KAT after my own heart! Photos and commentary by our "Brazilian correspondent", Lilian Mariutti:

"I took her to shop for a few things at Dom Pedro Shopping Mall, the biggest one in Latin America."

"She is posing with the mall symbol: The Bird. (of course, she tried to eat it, but....)"

" Here, she is playing in the in the fig tree."

"When they were building the mall, they found an enormous 400-year condemned fig tree and a lot of sculptures were made from it."

"Then we bought a few things....

...and finally, we had a nice meal!"

What a great shopping adventure you had with ZMK, Lilian! And, those fig tree sculptures are truly spectacular!  I'm glad she didn't eat "The Bird" though. That might have been a bit akward to explain to the Mall Security...
As always, we look forward to your next adventure with Zombie Mini Kawaii!
